With the newest Jurassic World movie nearly upon us, it’s the perfect time to bring a raptor into your life. Not the lab-grown bloodthirsty kind, but the kind that’ll help you crack open that new novel.
The Raptor Lamp 2.0 is a unique twist on a desk light that can be appreciated by dinosaur fans of all ages. The velociraptor shaped body is cut from aluminum and has a posable head, arms and legs.
The jaw opens to reveal not rows of glistening blood-soaked teeth, but a bright LED light. The light is two-way and shines out of both inside and below the mouth.
Perfect for bedsides or desks, the lamp’s efficient LED bulb needs only 6 watts of power and is good for 30,000 hours of use.
Built in phone holder
The base of the Raptor Lamp 2.0 has a beveled slot that a smartphone fits into. The top of the phone is held in place with silicone claw on the raptor’s foot.
You could really have some fun by plugging the lamp into a smart outlet and connecting it to Alexa or Google Home. “Alexa, activate the raptors!”
The Raptor Lamp 2.0 comes in a variety of colors and can currently be pre-ordered with a $149 pledge at their Indiegogo page. Once funded, ordered are expected to ship December 2018.
