Unitree Pump – The Adaptable Pocket-Sized Gym

There are plenty of reasons people don’t exercise as much as they should. While regularly workouts are vital to good health, intimidating equipment, pricey membership fees and fear of judgment are the most common excuses for missing out.

But what if there was a way to remove those barriers and make workouts cheap, accessible and shame-free? AND what if it was small enough to fit in a pocket?

The Unitree Pump is a cleverly engineered piece of home workout gear that solves all those problems in one compact kit.

Full body resistance training

At just 1.54lbs and roughly the size of a Big Mac, the Unitree Pump is deceptively small. The device can easily be tossed in a bag during travel and is WAY easier to store than offerings from Bowflex or Peloton.

Housed inside the tiny body is a fully customizable motor that adjusts the level of resistance when you pull the spooled cable. A variety of included accessories adapt the Unitree Pump for a huge range of exercises. A door frame mount, foot loop, suction mount and other anchors allow the Pump to secure to a medley of different places.

Curls, rows, flies and even squats can be hammered out in one room. Larger accessories like the rowing seat and exercise bar add to the workout options.

Customize your intensity

Unlike most small resistance trainers, the Unitree Pump doesn’t rely on elastic bands or springs to pull against. Instead, the device uses a small onboard motor to mechanically control the level of resistance. Using the included app, you can dial in your preferred resistance from as little as 4.4lbs up to 44lbs. Multiple Pumps can also be used together for higher weights.

100s of training tutorials

Unitree’s app, Fitness PUMP, will include 100s of guided tutorials that train new users how to make the most of the device. There will also be fitness games and achievements, plus a “generation mode” that can recharge the Pump’s battery by doing 10 workouts with the max weight.

You are your own battery

According to Unitree’s Kickstarter campaign, it’s possible to charge other devices like phones and tablets through your workouts. Press the Power Generation button and the device will convert your motion into energy which can be transferred to a connected phone. It’s like a sweat-fueled power bank!
